NitroFix, in partnership with 1S1 Energy, secured a BIRD Energy grant to scale their breakthrough electrochemical process that turns water and air into sustainable ammonia, driving global clean-energy progress.
NitroFix was selected as one of five prestigious companies to be awarded funding through The BIRD Energy, a joint program of the U.S. Department of Energy, Israel’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, and the Israel Innovation Authority.
NitroFix and its U.S. partner, 1S1 Energy, are to receive a share of $1.5 million in grants aimed at advancing clean-energy innovation.
NitroFix’s breakthrough electrochemical process converts water and air into green ammonia without relying on fossil fuels, offering a sustainable alternative to the carbon-intensive Haber-Bosch process. With BIRD Energy’s support, NitroFix will scale its proprietary catalyst and flow cell system to commercial levels, helping decarbonize global agriculture and industry.
